Today we celebrate Juneteenth, the commemoration of the end of Slavery in the United States. This day has been celebrated in black communities since 1865. We stand with those communities, recognizing that this will not be the typical Juneteenth celebration given the illumination of past and present racial injustices in the United States.

In the wake of a series of racial injustices, Folsom Labs is taking a stance to unequivocally support Black Lives Matter and anyone fighting for civil rights or marginalized people. Today, we are committing to support these communities and organizations through both internal and external efforts.

We are expanding our Diversity and Inclusion initiatives to include open discussions and book clubs focused around social injustices and civil rights. We’re also encouraging employees to take personal time to focus on supporting the community, education, and peaceful activism. We hope this will give employees time to learn from one another and reflect on how to move forward.
